Labels and labeling technology
Labeling from a single source
Labels enable identification and traceability, indicate origins, batches or contents. The manufacturer cab offers the required labeling solutions and consumables.
Transfer protocols can decide which label printer suits the application. The firmware of all current cab printing and labeling systems supports WebDAV. Print data can be accessed and processed from cloud storage directly on the printer. Making centrally managed label data available worldwide increases process reliability in the movement of goods.
The proven industrial printer Hermes Q can be individually combined with different standard modules for labeling. For horizontal mounting of the system on a production line, cab presents a newly developed floor stand. The height can be infinitely adjusted using an internal spindle. As usual, the mounting bracket offers options for attaching a compressed air maintenance unit and signal lamp.
Precise label dispensing even at high speeds
The specially designed Ceon sensors detect tiny height differences in fast-moving material webs. They are used close to the dispensing edge on IXOR labeling machines. In combination with their master encoder, they ensure precise labeling even in difficult-to-access labeling positions and at high speeds. The textile world has also discovered the Ceon for itself, for example to temporarily stop a textile web in transit at a seam of a certain height.
The labeling specialist has a large range of labels in stock. Labels can also be produced individually from over 400 materials. Paper labels are available smooth and wood-free. Plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester or polyimide are tear-resistant, resistant to moisture and extreme temperatures, polyolefin even in cryogenic applications down to minus 196 °C.

Labeling is everywhere
cab specializes in automated labelling and is a manufacturer of label printing systems. The possible applications of label printers, labelers, label dispensers or marking lasers are versatile and cross-industry.
When printing on labels using the thermal transfer process, a special foil is heated at certain points by the print head. The ink layer of the foil melts and is transferred to the surface of the label. To protect the print head, thermal transfer ribbons dissipate heat as effectively as possible. A special back coating prevents friction and thus electrostatic charging.
Permanent labeling of signs
Cab offers high-quality marking lasers for universal use: as a table-top system, in fully automated production lines, with protective housing for marking individual parts or small batches, or for labels made of laser-markable film. cab shows the Xeno 3 as the successor to the THS system for marking metal or plastic type plates in a video: www.cab.de/xeno3
