The SZ-V series safety laser scanner from Keyence has a safety zone with a radius of 8.4 meters. The scanner has a removable display unit with which the zones can be visualized and the detection history can be viewed at a glance.

For the first time in the field of safety laser scanners, there is a system with an integrated camera; the user can call up the associated images or videos at the time of detection. The innovative optics have a high scanning rate and an intensity comparison algorithm that can differentiate between dust or fog and homogeneous objects. This function addresses the dust and dirt problems associated with optical systems. Thanks to the modular design, up to three scanners can be cascaded without major cabling and programming effort in order to further expand the area to be monitored. Other integrated functions include a pluggable system memory, up to 96 warning and protective fields, network compatibility, Profisafe, muting function, incremental encoder inputs and a CRC display. as
