HF read/write head

Pepperl+Fuchs has developed the IQH1-F198-V1 HF RFID read/write head in connection with a customer-specific project, especially for the traceability of semi-finished products in tire manufacturing.
The read/write head is installed in cap strip and tire building machines in order to track the semi-finished products on the bobbins. The particular challenge here is that the metal holder of the bobbin is located in the field of the read/write head and that the position of the RFID transponder attached to the bobbin is not fixed when the bobbin is changed, but is located at a varying position on a circular segment around the bobbin holder.
For the optimum solution, a ring-shaped HF read/write head was implemented so that the coil holder can be guided through the read/write head and the RFID transponder always comes to rest in the reading area of the reader. This means that the worker does not have to pay attention to the position of the RFID transponder when changing the coil. As it is always in the field of the read/write head, regardless of the position of the bobbin, the RFID transponder can be read and written to not only when the bobbin is stationary but also when it is rotating. as
