Turbo compressor

Andreas Mühlbauer,

Compact and highly efficient

Small, light, energy-efficient and quiet - that's the new T 220 turbo compressor from Boge. For example, the drive mechanism does not require any oil, making the T 220 an alternative to oil-free screw compressors.

The footprint is small, the weight comparatively low - this is possible thanks to the use of air-bearing drive shafts and powerful motors in a sophisticated compression process. The new turbo compressor is energy-efficient and generates a delivery rate of 35.6m3 per minute at a pressure of 7.5 bar. The compression principle is based on three-stage compression, which works completely without oil. Two permanent magnet motors drive titanium impellers of different sizes and ensure a high energy density. 60,000 revolutions per minute are generated without the use of a gearbox. The drive shaft is self-stabilizing and requires neither additional energy nor lubricants.
