Valves from Emerson
Proportional flow control
Emerson has introduced the Asco 209 series, a proportional valve for flow applications in the medical, food and beverage, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industries.
According to the supplier, the 209 series valves are characterized by low hysteresis (less than or equal to 5 %), very good reproducibility (less than or equal to 1 %) and high sensitivity (less than or equal to 0.2 %), which contribute to the accuracy of the valves.
"Proportional valves are key components that can have a significant impact on the performance and efficiency of the equipment in which they are installed," said Shivam Chauhan, marketing manager for commercial products, Europe, Middle East and Africa, at Emerson's Discrete Automation business. The low power consumption and fast response time (less than or equal to 15 milliseconds) of the 209 Series can extend battery life and optimize the performance of an entire system. An improved internal design prevents metal-to-metal contact that causes clicking, allowing the valve to operate at extremely low noise levels.
