Okuma machining center

Annina Schopen,

Vertical machining of large workpieces

Okuma is now also offering its MB-80V vertical machining center in Europe. According to the company, it is particularly suitable for working on large workpieces.

This is due to the working area with table dimensions of 1,600 x 800 millimetres and the X-Y-Z travel of up to 1,600 x 1,050 x 600 millimetres. Despite these dimensions, the machine only requires a small footprint and can be set up quickly. In use, for example when machining cubic parts, mold components or semiconductor components, the machining center offers repeat accuracy, dynamics and precision. The latter is ensured by the rigid double-column design. In addition, the machine was designed in such a way that large quantities of aluminium chips can also be removed to ensure maximum machine utilization. The operation of the MB-80V with the Okuma OSP P300 control system can be customized.
