Sales partner
Okuma takes over Gelderblom CNC Machines
Okuma Europe takes over 100 percent of the Dutch company Gelderblom CNC Machines B.V. By acquiring the long-standing sales partner in the Benelux countries, Okuma intends to broaden its service and support portfolio.
After more than 40 years of exclusive distribution partnership, the purchase agreement between Okuma Europe and Gelderblom CNC Machines was signed by both parties on May 15th. Since then, Gelderblom CNC Machines has been a fully owned subsidiary of Okuma Europe. It now operates under the name Okuma Benelux B.V. and will manage the restructured sales and service processes in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg from the former Gelderblom site in Houten, the Netherlands. With the acquisition, Okuma has also taken over all 40 employees of the former Gelderblom CNC Machines.
"The Benelux countries are among our most important sales markets in Europe, which is why it is particularly important to be close to customer needs here and to be able to respond directly with products and services," explains Takeshi Yamamoto, CEO Okuma Europe GmbH. "The new local alignment of the sales and service structure is the ideal way to achieve this. Ultimately, we also want to increase the success of our customers by optimizing our pre- and after-sales services, in line with our motto 'Open Possibilities'."
