As with the G4014, the company also uses the double-edged DX18 cutting inserts with form-fit design for the new G4041 deep grooving blades and G4011 monoblock shank tools.

This prevents the inserts from moving sideways in the insert seat and thus increases changeover accuracy, stability and process reliability. With the raised chip shoulder, which improves chip evacuation, this enables higher feed rates. Including the G4041-P deep grooving blades and the G4011-P Walter Capto tools, the range therefore includes grooving widths of 2 to 4 mm and grooving depths of up to 10 to 17.5 mm.
