Grinding machines for angular plunge-cut grinding
Junker has further developed its Jupiter 200 sanding machine and added a process variant: The Jupiter 200 S sanding machine now also enables angular plunge-cut sanding.
In contrast to plunge-cut grinding, the grinding headstock is inclined by 10° in this process variant, which enables centerless grinding of face shoulders and end faces. In centerless through-feed grinding, one part after the other (in the strand) is fed through the grinding zone. With centerless plunge-cut grinding, on the other hand, the workpieces are briefly fixed and fed into the machine using a suitable loading device. The profile of the wheel corresponds to the negative profile of the workpiece contour. The grinding machine can be used to process different materials such as steel and carbide. Junkernames rotors, piston parts and profile rollers as typical workpieces.
