Thread former
With and without lubrication grooves
Walter offers its TC410 Advance HSS-E thread formers without lubrication grooves and with lubrication grooves for deeper threads up to 3.5 × DN.
The TiN-coated thread former for blind and through-hole threads (metric, metric fine, UNC/UNF and G) is suitable for all formable materials in ISO material groups P, M, N as well as for ISO K and S in secondary applications.
According to the company, the cutting time in the material is shortened by a new type of geometry and special post-treatment. This reduces friction and heat development and extends tool life. With the thread former, Walter is targeting users with medium and larger batch sizes who produce more threads with the same tool.
