High-precision grinding of large components
The double-column grinding machines from Okamoto have a grinding path of 2,000 to 4,000 millimetres in the longitudinal axis and a transverse path of 1,050 to 2,050 millimetres. This means that the ACC-CHNC surface grinding machine can be used in tool and fixture construction.
Special mineral casting for the machine bed, AC servomotors, hydraulic table drives, high-precision guides such as hand-scraped double-V sliding guides with a special coating and linear roller guides are designed to guarantee smooth, jerk-free movements even under extreme loads. Recirculating ball screws with precision ball bearings, automatic lubrication, uninterruptible power supply systems and the non-contact hydrostatic system for precise stabilization of the machine table also contribute to vibration-free grinding with micrometre precision, even on large surfaces.
