Gleason takes over Fässler honing technology business
Gleason Corporation today successfully completed the acquisition of the assets of the Fässler gear finishing business from Daetwyler Industries AG and MDC Max Daetwyler AG.
The business activities relating to Fässler gear honing machines, clamping devices and tools for the high-precision hard fine machining of gears were taken over by the Gleason subsidiary, Gleason Switzerland AG, as part of the transfer of assets (asset deal). The existing management team and the former employees of Fässler were taken over. Gleason already announced on February 26, 2019 with the signing of the contract that all assets and certain contractual obligations of Daetwyler's Fässler gear finishing business would be purchased.
