The UPZ NCII from Okamoto is a high-precision grinding machine for high-tech materials such as high-temperature steels, nickel-based alloys and others.
The machine grinds with diamond grinding wheels in continuous cross feed. A single-point diamond is integrated for dressing. The grinding path of 2,000 to 4,000 mm in the longitudinal axis and a transverse path of 1,050 to 2,050 mm is assigned to the product portfolio of toolmaking, fixture construction and small series production. The stable design of the spindle head and the guide principle with double V-guide in the longitudinal and transverse axes ensure precise machining and high surface qualities. The precision grinding machine achieves an allowance of 0.004 µm with a maximum surface roughness ofRy= 0.087 µm.
