Ball nose end mill

Andrea Gillhuber,

For machining hard materials

Fraisa is presenting innovations in its high-performance milling cutters. The ball nose end mills in the MicroHX series are suitable for machining materials with a hardness of HRC >60.

According to the company, the new milling cutters are characterized by a long service life and high wear resistance. Fraisa cites the new tool technology as the reason for this: thanks to a very stable and sharp cutting edge as well as a higher thermal load capacity, the milling cutters in the MicroHX series can be used up to four times longer than conventionally coated tools, according to the company. A special feature is the positioning of the cutting engagement point behind the cutting edge, which relieves the cutting edge.
