Fiber optic splice box
Flexible connection of fiber optic cables
For the variable connection of optical fibers in industrial systems, pluggable connections are more suitable than manual splicing. There are splice boxes with sockets, known as pigtails, into which the optical fibers can be plugged.
With the Hitronic SBX, Lapp presents a new generation of splice boxes made of robust metal for installation in control cabinets. They fit onto TH35 mounting rails and can be mounted in three different positions.
The splice boxes comply with IP20, the temperature range extends from -40 to 70 °C. They are available in different versions with six or twelve ST duplex, LC duplex, SC duplex or SC RJ couplings and in all optical classes. Customers can order pre-assembled fiber optic cables of the right length and with connectors to match the splice boxes.
