Miniature clutches

Annina Schopen,

Offset compensation in many areas of application

The smallest representatives of the servo compensating couplings, the miniature couplings, are designed to compensate for the offset or axial displacement of two axes or shafts. Depending on the design, they are used in different areas, such as tachometers, stepper motors, NC axes, potentiometers, robot drives, handling devices, angle encoders or servo drives. They are available as bellows, elastomer or cross-slide couplings and are attached to the shaft using a clamping ring or grub screw.

As metal bellows couplings, the elements transmit high speeds backlash-free and maintenance-free. Thanks to the high torsional stiffness and low mass moment of inertia, high speeds can be transmitted at a precise angle and without backlash. The compact elastomer miniature couplings are the right choice for larger shaft misalignments. They are pluggable, backlash-free and flexible, vibration-damping and electrically insulating.
