Siemens and Hilscher enter into partnership
Siemens cooperates with Hilscher and thus offers a wide range of communication protocols.
The integration of Hilscher's cifX PC card technology into Siemens' Simatic IPCs enables flexible access to all relevant fieldbus and real-time Ethernet systems - the technology for communication between devices and data exchange between machines and systems in the heterogeneous IoT world. This supports the digital transformation of industry.
The Simatic Box and the Panel PC enable customers to connect, launch and run applications. PC cards in M.2 format from the cifX PC card family can be integrated into the Simatic IPC through simple plug-and-play and quick activation. The intelligent netX network controller from Hilscher then enables the integration of 19 different fieldbuses and real-time Ethernet protocols into the M.2 PC card.
