Developers and designers of fanless embedded systems need to keep an eye on good thermal management in addition to the small space requirement of the CPU board used. This is very important, for example, in kiosk machines or HMI panel PCs as well as in factory automation systems in order to enable safe operation even at high ambient temperatures.

With a TPD value of the IB822F of just 10 W, thermal management is easy to implement. The CPU board is available with two different processors: Intel® Pentium Silver J5005 and Celeron J4005 with integrated Intel UHD graphics.

The board has two DDR4 SO-DIMMs for up to 16 GB DDR4-2400 memory and two Intel Gigabit Ethernet LANs. Despite the small dimensions, two M.2 sockets, four COM ports, four USB 3.0 ports and two SATA III ports are available.

Three independent displays are connected via an HDMI, a DisplayPort and either eDP or 18/24-bit dual LVDS. The wide voltage input of 12 to 24 VDC and the operating temperature range of 0 to 60 °C make work easier for developers and designers.
