New logos on buildings
LuK becomes Schaeffler
As part of the "Global Branding" project, an initiative of Schaeffler' s "Agenda 4 plus One" program for the future, the company is strengthening its location and external image in Bühl.
A new era is now visibly beginning at the new headquarters of the company's global automotive division, and construction work on the new signage has begun. The facades are being painted, the yellow LuK logos are being dismantled and the new illuminated signs will be installed by mid-September.
At the same time, the site is being strengthened with a 60 million euro investment. From September, the company will be building a modern development building and headquarters for the Automotive division in Bühl-Bußmatten on an area of around 20,000 square meters.
"We are continuing to write the success story of the company with the Schaeffler logo on its roofs," says Matthias Zink, Member of the Board of Management Automotive OEM. "Only a strong Schaeffler brand has a future. We give our customers orientation and position ourselves globally as a preferred technology partner," Zink continues. LuK will remain a product brand, but in future will only be used in connection with the associated product and together with the Schaeffler corporate brand.
On September 22, the official inauguration of the new logos will be celebrated in Bühl with an employee party, while the ground-breaking ceremony for the new development building and automotive headquarters will take place at the same time. Since January 2018, Bühl has been the new headquarters of the company's global Automotive division, which currently employs around 5,500 people. LuK (multi-plate and clutch construction), co-founded by the Schaeffler brothers in 1965, has been fully owned by the Schaeffler Group since 1999.
