Company figures 2018
Kemper reports record year
Kemper reports record sales of more than EUR 40 million for the financial year. This is an increase of 13% compared to the previous year. In 2019, the company will continue to push ahead with digitalization.
2018 was the most successful year in the company's history for the manufacturer of extraction units and filter systems Kemper: the company generated more than EUR 40 million, recording a 13% increase in turnover. From 2010 to 2018, turnover even doubled. Björn Kemper, Chairman of the Management Board, emphasizes: "The past financial year puts another exclamation mark behind Kemper's development in recent years. The fact that we have once again managed to increase our turnover at an extremely high level demonstrates the increasing demand for intelligent occupational safety solutions in the metalworking industry."
Germany remains the most important sales market, but according to the company, European markets such as the Czech Republic, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain in particular contributed to growth.
Skills shortage as a growth driver
The shortage of skilled workers has emerged as one of the main drivers in the company's development.
"This gives the topic of occupational health and safety a new relevance in manufacturing companies," says Frederic Lanz, new Managing Director of Marketing & Sales at Kemper. "Companies that use high-quality technology like ours are signaling that the health of their employees is important to them by using effective extraction technology."
The company also aims to create added value by further digitalizing its portfolio. In 2019, Kemper will therefore bring new IoT-enabled solutions to market maturity.
