IEF-Werner: Award from the German Stifterverband

Of the approximately 3.5 million companies in Germany, less than one percent conduct research. IEF-Werner from Furtwangen in the Black Forest belongs to this small but exclusive group. In recognition of its special commitment to research and development, the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft has now awarded the automation specialist the "Innovative through Research" seal.

"We are delighted to receive this award," says Ulrich Moser, Head of Marketing at the company. "It is a confirmation of our daily work. Our aim is to continuously improve existing products and to develop new systems and technologies with foresight. This is how we define our technological pioneering role."

Those who research can discover new things and create innovation and growth. The importance of research and development for the medium-sized company can also be seen in the number of employees. Over ten percent of the automation specialist's workforce work in this area. In addition to mechatronics, digitalization and application-specific software solutions are becoming increasingly important in the age of Industry 4.0.

The Stifterverband regularly awards this seal of approval to creative, research-driven companies. The award is valid for two years.
