With ctrlX Safety, Bosch Rexroth is bringing a new product to the automation market: the most responsive and compact safety solution of its kind. It is a scalable system that can be used as required - from the drive-integrated SafeMotion solution in the ctrlX Drive to the complete ctrlX Safety safety controller.
In addition to flexible application options, the advantages include a very high level of safety thanks to extremely fast response times and efficient engineering thanks to graphical programming of the safety PLC. ctrlX Safety is based on two components that can be used independently or as a complete system: SafeMotion and SafeLogic. The hardware is compact and, as a safety controller, its graphical programming enables the required programs to be created quickly and easily - without the need for extensive training. The intuitive engineering interface, documentation-supported user guidance and ready-made dialogs for recording acceptance-relevant information result in faster engineering than with conventional solutions. For more demanding applications, the hardware can be expanded with additional I/O modules via the secure fieldbus. It is equipped with flexible interfaces - such as Digital I/O, ctrlX Safetylink, Safety over Ethercat (FSoE) and Profisafe (in preparation). The exchange of safe I/O signals between the safety controller and the SafeMotion on the ctrlX Drive takes place efficiently via ctrlX Safetylink.
SafeMotion is based on the modular drive system ctrlX Drive with scalable software. It is available as an entry-level version as well as with extended functions or for the most demanding requirements. The bundle results in a fast, compact and adaptable safety solution. With ctrlX Safety, integration into machines is possible in the smallest of installation spaces thanks to the shortened response times.
