More clutches
R+W has added further models to its SP3 range of metal bellows couplings. The welded version transmits torques from 800 to 10,000 Newton meters. Previously, the SP3 was available with an external cone for torques in the range of 60 to 500 Newton meters.
The coupling can be installed without axial and radial stresses in the bellows body thanks to the external clamping cone. This means that the hubs and bellows bodies are hardly deformed and the clamping cone remains unloaded in its locking function. The special metal bellows coupling is made of high-strength steel and is robust and reliable, even in applications with high temperatures. pb
