Elastomer coupling

Connecting shafts without play

Enemac has added a new product series to its portfolio: the EWN elastomer coupling. The technically mature, plug-in elastomer or claw couplings are mainly used in demanding drives in general mechanical engineering, where zero backlash and problem-free handling are required.

The new series with half-shell hubs combines these two properties and also has an electrically insulating effect thanks to the involute-shaped elastic plastic star, says Enemac. The elastomer star connects the two hubs with low preload and absorbs the vibrations that occur in the drive train. The EWN is suitable for shafts that are difficult to access and a secure, friction-locked shaft fastening is always guaranteed. The compact series is available in 13 sizes and is designed for torques of up to 2,000 Newton meters at up to 120 degrees Celsius. Shafts between eight and 100 millimetres can be accommodated. as
