Calculate drive systems online

With its Drive Selection Tool, Faulhaber offers developers and application engineers an online tool that can be used to determine the right drive systems for a company's requirements.

Just a few details such as speed and torque are enough to quickly determine suitable solutions. A list with the most important parameters shows the calculated selection. This can then be further reduced using intelligent filters until the most suitable drive solutions are found. There is also a comparison function for up to three variants, whereby the extensive product data is presented directly in tabular form.

If a specific motor series or special series of a motor-gearbox combination is already relevant, this can be selected in advance and the solution calculated accordingly in connection with the desired performance requirements. Faulhaber particularly emphasizes that the Drive Selection Tool with the thermal ("warm") calculation also takes into account the changes in the electrical properties due to the heating of the motor.

Once suitable systems have been found, they can be requested directly from the company using the dedicated function. The company is gradually expanding its online tool with additional drive types, products and functions. In future, customers should be able to identify suitable drive systems for their planned applications at an early stage of development.
