The Cologne-based company is presenting the Circular Cutting Device to the American trade public for the first time at the Fabtech metalworking trade fair in Atlanta. Visitors to the trade fair will find out how it works and what makes the machine an all-rounder for tube bending.

When the all-electric CNC 80 E TB MR multi-radius tube bending machine is used, short cycle times meet precision and ease of operation. In 2022, Schwarze-Robitec added an exciting new feature to the tried-and-tested all-rounder: the circular cutting device cuts the tubes directly during bending without chips and with outstanding cutting quality. In this way, the tube bending machine manufacturer brings a more sustainable use of resources into the equation than ever before. Almost perfect cutting quality without additional calibration

The three cutting wheels of the circular cutting device move around the pipe several times at a distance of 120 degrees to gradually cut it off without chips. Users achieve an almost perfect cut quality and require no additional calibration. As the cutting point can also be located between two bends, intermediate lengths are reduced to a minimum. The fact that the cutting wheels can be easily replaced after wear and tear also contributes to the sustainable use of materials.

Efficient production process

The machine ensures an efficient production process thanks to numerous other features: The intelligent NxG control system prepares all machine axes simultaneously for the bending sequence for the subsequent steps. The vertically movable slide rail moves to different levels synchronously with the pipe. The quick tool change system Quick-Tool-Unlock in combination with a quick clamping system for the bending template enables fast and repeatable tool changes.
