Most of the systems will be assembled and commissioned at Kuka in Augsburg and then delivered to the customer Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Substructure 1 and 2, including the associated subassemblies, will be implemented over an area of around 14,000 square meters.

Process technologies such as resistance spot welding, gluing, nut and stud welding are carried out in the 15 modular production lines. So-called Kuka rack changers are used to supply the body components to the production line.
