Robot technology for railroad applications
Speed into automated production
The completely renewed KR Cybertech nano series from Kuka provides robot technology for railroad applications with high performance in the low payload class.
They are fast and even more precise than their predecessors, according to Kuka. The KR Cybertech nano ARC robots are experts in applications such as arc welding, gluing and sealant application. The further developed Kuka Hollow Wrist-Hand, a 50-millimeter hollow shaft hand, reduces the basic axis movement and ensures short cycle times with maximum movement precision. According to the company, the new robots deliver a repeat accuracy of 0.04 millimeters even at high speeds. The series also scores points for its long service life and low maintenance requirements in the low payload class. This reduces the total cost of ownership for users. "The KR Cybertech nano ARC is flexible, easy to integrate and delivers the best results right from the start," says Markus Hollfelder-Asam, Portfolio Manager at Kuka.
