New Industrial Sales Director
Rohm strengthens industrial sector
Dr. Andreas Bauknecht has been Industrial Sales Director at Rohm since 1 February 2018, strengthening the company's industrial division in his new position. The 49-year-old has 17 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, where he has held various management positions in development and marketing.
After completing his doctorate at the Hahn-Meitner Institute in Berlin on semiconductors for photovoltaics, Bauknecht began his career in industry at Philips Semiconductors. This was followed by several positions in development and finally a move into international marketing.
As international product marketing manager at NXP Semiconductors for the communications segment, he built up business with Samsung in South Korea and with Chinese smartphone manufacturers with regional sales and marketing teams. Most recently, Bauknecht was Head of Marketing at the NXP spin-off company Nexperia, where he drove the strategic development of the global business. He made significant contributions to the implementation of sales and marketing processes around topics such as market launches, customer prioritization and business guidelines for long-term success.
Bauknecht has been certified as a Philip Kotler Marketing Manager since 2007.
At Rohm, Dr. Bauknecht will strengthen the strategically important Industrial division. With his good knowledge of the industry, he will provide new impetus to further advance the Industrial division.

The industrial sector has a consistently high growth rate in infrastructure, energy and automation.
