Operating terminal with support arm
Ergonomic system control
WES Systeme Electronic has developed a support arm system for the companies L-Tris and Innolas Solutions. The monitor, attached to an operating terminal with an adjustable support arm, can be flexibly tilted, swiveled and fixed. In this way, the support arm system creates the necessary ergonomics at the laser system control.
The Photonics Systems Group, which includes L-Tris and Innolas Solutions, develops, produces and sells systems for customer-specific laser applications. Head of Development Niels Krauch on the project: "As individual as our customers in Europe, the USA and Asia are, so are the conditions and operating personnel on site. The modular design of the WES terminal allows our machines to be operated in many different ways."
Joachim Schreiweis, Managing Director of WES Systeme Electronic: "The terminal makes it possible to operate machines ergonomically. Whether in the photovoltaic, electronics or semiconductor industry, precision is important in all areas."
L-Tris and Innolas Solutions received the customized unit with a 24-inch monitor. The monitor housing is equipped with a separately mounted keyboard/mouse support surface. An LED status display was integrated into the side of the housing. The operating terminal is made of aluminum and was powder-coated in traffic white. The monitor housing can be tilted backwards by 20°. Two star grips are used to release and move it. As the support arm can also be swiveled, the operating radius can be increased to up to 180°. This is useful for set-up work on machines, for example, or if the monitor interferes with the working environment. The monitor itself has its own joint with a radius of up to 140°; the cable routing is concealed in the support arm.
