Spetec has launched the Laminar Flow Box (FBS), a portable and flexible product that enables companies to create direct cleanroom conditions in the workplace.
Setting up a cleanroom and operating it continuously is a fundamental challenge for a company that is associated with effort and risk, although sometimes cleanroom conditions are only actually required in one section of the production chain. For such applications in limited areas, Spetec has developed the Laminar Flow Box FBS, which can be used to create cleanroom conditions exactly where they are actually required.
According to the manufacturer, the effective cleanroom area achieved with a single Flow Box FBS is between 0.37 and 1.12 square meters. This is often more than sufficient, as the type H14 filter used in the FBS filters out at least 99.995 percent of all particles - based on a particle size of 0.12 micrometres according to MPPS. Box therefore has an isolation factor of104 and improves the air quality by at least 10,000 times compared to the ambient air. This achieves ISO Class 5 cleanroom areas without any construction work and at a more than reasonable cost.
The Spetec Flow Box FBS has been tested and certified by the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation and is available in different model variants. as
