Using the FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) 3D printing process, the RoboxPro sets itself apart from other models thanks to its patented needle valve technology. The technology makes the 3D printer the fastest and most efficient dual extrusion machine. The dual-nozzle printing capability means that the machine can print in two different colors or two different materials at the same time.

Prints with many materials
As with the Robox 3D printers of the previous generation, the print heads of the RoboxPro devices are easily interchangeable and can be upgraded. This allows extended functions such as paste extrusion to be implemented at a later date. The device is designed for 1.75 mm filaments and can process a wide range of materials such as PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, PC and nylon. The RoboxPro is also the first 3D printer to feature an Olsson Ruby nozzle. This is an FFF extrusion nozzle that is currently unparalleled on the market. The nozzle was developed to print highly abrasive materials. Its tip is made of ruby, which makes the nozzle much more durable than other nozzles. In addition, demanding, resilient materials such as Kevlar or tungsten-filled ABS and glass or carbon-filled nylons can be printed for much longer before the nozzle shows signs of wear. In many cases, the ruby tip also leads to an improved surface finish.

Other special features of the printer include a build envelope of 210 x 300 x 400 mm and a wide range of layer resolutions from 0.5 mm for fast printing down to layers as thin as 0.05 mm (50 microns). The RoboxPro features onboard controls with an integrated, full-color 5-inch touchscreen user interface. It allows the user to change print settings, calibrate the worktop and manage the connection via Wi-Fi, Ethernet or USB

The printer is also characterized by a climate-controlled installation space with HEPA filter and an activated carbon air purification system. The adaptive leveling of the worktop eliminates the need for manual calibration. The worktop is easy to replace. No glue or adhesive tape is required. Another advantage is the Robox SmartReel material recognition system, which greatly simplifies the printing process with automatic print settings and job calculations. The RoboxPro is still compatible with filaments from other brands including Verbatim.
