Formnext 2021
Return to Frankfurt
After being forced to go virtual in 2020, Formnext will be back under the trade fair tower from November 16 to 19, 2021 as a real meeting place for all those interested in additive manufacturing. The exhibition will be complemented by an extensive program of events.
As in 2019, Formnext will once again take place in Frankfurt's exhibition halls 11 and 12 in 2021. However, the number of exhibitors has almost halved from 852 to 450; a trend that was also seen or is expected at the other major autumn trade fairs. In terms of the hygiene concept, organizer Mesago is relying on the more demanding 2G rule: no access without valid vaccination certificates or proof of recovery; however, there is also no mask requirement or distancing rule.
In terms of content, the entire spectrum of additive manufacturing is represented: from software and system technology to materials. Major exhibitors include 3D Systems, Additive Industries, Addup, Arburg, Autodesk, BigRep, DMG Mori, Dyndrite, EOS, ExOne, Evonik, Farsoon, Formlabs, GE, Hexagon, HP, Keyence, Markforged, Materialise, Meltio, Nexa 3D, Prima Industrie, Renishaw, Sandvik, Siemens, Stratasys, Trumpf, Voxeljet and XJet. Research institutes such as the Fraunhofer Institute for Additive Production Technologies IAPT will also be there.
An extensive program of events complements the trade fair. These include lectures by industry experts, presentations from the partner country Italy, as well as innovations as part of the "purmundus challenge" and the Start-up Challenge Pitch-Next event. In addition, the TCT Conference and Stage as well as the special shows of VDMA AG AM and BE-AM (Built Environment) will take place. The ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) is also organizing an international standardization workshop on the day before Formnext for the first time.
