Design and simulation solution

Altair has introduced the Inspire Print3D manufacturing simulation solution for additive manufacturing. This offers a range of fast and accurate tools for the production-oriented design and simulation of components manufactured using the SLM process.

Process variables can be evaluated and easily modified in an immersive environment. Inspire Print3D enables designs with minimal support structures and optimal orientation on any 3D printer and reduces trial-and-error by simulating part creation including cooling, cutting and springback.

Potential defects such as component deformation, delamination and overheating can be detected and corrected before printing. Thermomechanical simulation makes it possible to create high-performance designs to reduce post-processing.
