Automation is considered one of the biggest growth drivers in the intralogistics sector. Jungheinrich expects double-digit growth rates in this segment in the coming years. This trend will be driven primarily by the continued strong increase in online trade and the global shortage of skilled logistics workers, especially forklift drivers.

Magazino has been on the market since 2014 with a mobile picking robot that is able to navigate intelligently in the warehouse and precisely pick the right boxes. The system is used in the warehouses of various online retailers and logistics service providers. "By controlling the robots in this complex environment, Magazino has developed a globally unique expertise that we want to further expand together in the future and incorporate into the Jungheinrich product world," says Dr. Lars Brzoska, CEO of Jungheinrich.

"Jungheinrich's investment in Magazino demonstrates the strong market demand for our robotics software Acros.AI and our robots. This means that Magazino will play a central role as a software player in the rapidly growing mobile robotics market in the future," says Frederik Brantner, CEO and co-founder of Magazino.
