Production, machine tools and industrial robots
Robotics, machine tools and accessories are the focus of this market overview.
When working with heavy, valuable objects such as metal or glass in automotive production, operator and product safety play an important role in all automation efforts.

The use of lightweight robots and cobots is an economical way to achieve automation. They are quick to learn and flexible to use. Schmalz knows what this means for the development of grippers and the like: the robot hand must be light and stable at the same time and must not endanger humans

At Motek, OnRobot will be showcasing its end-of-arm tools on robot arms from manufacturers including Kawasaki, Techman, Doosan, Yaskawa, Kuka and Universal Robots.

Injection molded parts can have simple, flat or very complex shapes. The gripper must be designed accordingly for automatic removal. Piab's new Robotic Gripping department develops gripper concepts for different levels of complexity.
Branch office for DACH and Benelux
The young robotics company OnRobot has opened its first office in Germany. With the branch in Soest, North Rhine-Westphalia, the new General Manager Björn Milsch is further expanding OnRobot's presence in the DACH and Benelux markets.
As a one-stop store for collaborative robot applications, OnRobot will be showcasing the full range of its product portfolio. The company is expanding compatibility and presenting end-of-arm tools for the first time on robots from Techman, Doosan and Yaskawa.

OnRobot will be presenting its entire product portfolio at the Hannover Messe and showcasing end-of-arm tools on robots from Techman, Doosan and Yaskawa for the first time.
Piab is presenting five new products at the Hannover Messe, including the Pilift Smart vacuum lifter, the Picobot cobot gripper, the Pisoftgrip vacuum gripper technology and a new generation of the Picompact Smart main ejector. Some solutions will also be on show in action at the Swedish CoLab stand.

For cobots to be successful, they must be versatile and easy to handle. End-of-arm tools play a key role; the tool is particularly important when it comes to handing over parts for processing by humans.
Enrico Krog Iversen, former CEO of Universal Robots, and the Danish Growth Fund are merging the three gripping system companies Perception Robotics, Optoforce and On Robot to form the new company OnRobot.
