High quality, low use of resources

The company develops its products according to eco-design standards. These take into account the integration of environmental aspects in the design of an article throughout its entire life cycle and analyze the ecological aspects in order to exploit all opportunities for material savings and the use of recyclable materials.

Product development is based on the 3R concept: "Reduce - Reuse - Recycle". "Reduce" means using less material while maintaining the high quality of the precision components. With "Reuse", Pöppelmann K-Tech aims to reuse materials. The company has been implementing "Recycling" for more than 25 years. Pöppelmann K-Tech currently uses recycled materials in more than 100 series components. Numerous successful projects prove that a genuine circular economy is also possible in strictly regulated industries, such as the automotive sector.

For example, the plastics specialist only uses post-industrial recycled material (PIR) to produce spacers for vehicle batteries. This production waste, obtained for example from sprue return, is melted down by an external service provider, granulated and then reused in production. Series production of the resource-saving holders for the sound generators started at Pöppelmann K-Tech in 2020.
