Andreas Mühlbauer,

The difference to delivery hoses

Whether for protection against the weather, mechanical stresses or for thermal and electrical insulation: protective conduits are used in numerous designs.

When we talk about hoses, we almost always mean delivery hoses that are used to convey liquids, gases and free-flowing solids.

They are indispensable components for industrial hose technology on equipment, machines and in systems and have become an integral part of our everyday lives. Here, for example, we encounter them as fuel hoses at filling stations or as water hoses for household appliances such as washing machines or dishwashers.

In contrast to the transport hose is the protective hose, which, as the name suggests, is used to protect other components. As most protective hose designs are not used to conduct media, impermeability to liquids and gases is not a general criterion. Instead, it is the functional, physical and technical material properties that are decisive.

Reichelt Chemietechnik offers numerous variants of protective hoses for a wide range of applications.
