Danfoss has signed a binding agreement to acquire Alfagomma. With the acquisition of the Italian manufacturer of hoses and fittings, the company is further expanding its business in hydraulic and industrial applications. Upon completion of the transaction, Alfagomma will become part of the Fluid Conveyance division within Danfoss Power Solutions.

According to the company, the acquisition supports Danfoss’s strategic direction and is intended to accelerate profitable growth in line with the company’s long-term strategy. At the same time, the merger strengthens the company’s position in the global market for hoses and fittings and expands its ability to support customers worldwide.

“The acquisition of Alfagomma is a significant milestone for Danfoss and an important step in implementing our long-term strategy. Together, we are creating a global leader in fluid conveyance. Our complementary capabilities, expanded global presence, and additional economies of scale will strengthen our ability to better support customers worldwide and accelerate further growth. We are very pleased to welcome talented colleagues from a company that we have long valued for its skilled, dedicated, and competent employees, its industry-leading expertise, its customer focus, and its high quality of service,” said Kim Fausing, President and CEO of Danfoss.

A Wider Range of Products for Mechanical Engineering and Industry

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Vimercate, Italy, Alfagomma develops and manufactures hoses and fittings for mobile hydraulics and industrial applications, including the mining, oil and gas, and maritime sectors. The company markets its products under the Alfagomma, Dunlop Hiflex, and Argus brands, operates 28 production and assembly sites worldwide, employs approximately 4,500 people, and generates annual revenue of approximately 600 million euros.

Daniel Winter, President of Danfoss Power Solutions, sees the acquisition primarily as offering strategic advantages: “Alfagomma is a strategic excellent fit for Danfoss Power Solutions. Our businesses complement each other perfectly: There is little overlap, yet there are significant opportunities to jointly create added value for our customers worldwide. By combining our technologies, production sites, and global market presence, we are strengthening existing partnerships and expanding our ability to support customers in the fields of mobile hydraulics and other industrial applications worldwide. Alfagomma enjoys an excellent reputation and expands our expertise, particularly in industrial applications such as the oil and gas industry and mining. Above all, however, we are bringing together two teams that share a strong customer focus and are passionate about solving complex technical challenges. We are very pleased to welcome the Alfagomma team to Danfoss Power Solutions.”

Expected to be completed in the fourth quarter

The acquisition is still subject to the necessary regulatory approvals. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Until then, Danfoss and Alfagomma will continue to operate independently. For customers, nothing is expected to change as a result. Both companies intend to maintain their current level of service while preparing for their shared future.
