Pneumatic quick release

Pneumatically well tensioned

Pneumatic quick-release clamps fix workpieces for processing, position devices or hold molds together. They not only make handling easier, but also enable fully automated processes. Ganter offers several flexible solutions for this.

The toggle clamps of the GN 860 and GN 862 series have an important feature: After passing through a dead center during closing, the holding force is maintained even if the cylinder loses pressure. The low-wear design and the option of retrieving the position of the clamping element via magnetic sensors also offer safety. The clamping force itself is transmitted to the clamping point by means of a clamping arm or push rod. A hybrid toggle clamp combines manual closing with pneumatic opening using a hand lever - important for clamping work, for example, where clamping has to be performed individually but unclamping has to be performed simultaneously, quickly and automatically.

The compact power clamps from the GN 864 series upwards are also designed for pressureless self-holding in the clamping position. The sophisticated kinematics ensure that the infeed is fast, while the actual clamping movement is slow - making pneumatic end position damping superfluous. The available designs differ in their different clamping movements and are each available in four sizes with high holding forces of up to 13,300 newtons. These clamps are characterized by high stability, durability and low consumption of compressed air. Various mounting options, a wide range of accessories from adjustment plates and blanks for individual jaw shapes to directly attachable proximity switches round off the Ganter range.

The GN 875 / GN 876 series swing clamps perform two movements at once: first, the clamping arm rotates 90 degrees from its rest position and then lowers linearly to the workpiece in the actual clamping stroke. Thanks to the rotary movement, swiveling to the left or right, the workpiece remains accessible from above, allowing direct removal or loading. The freely selectable mounting angle and the different versions of the clamping arms ensure situational adaptation - including an adapter flange that can be fitted individually. The swing clamps are available in a block design with T-slot mounts for end position sensors or in a space-saving version with an external thread, which can be easily height-adjusted using a threaded adapter flange.
