Verification management in Kisssoft
Screws are among the most frequently used fasteners and are therefore often used in large numbers to join components together.
The challenge is to evaluate a large number of bolts as efficiently and reliably as possible for the software user over the entire service life. For this reason, the Ansys application Fast+More was developed by engineers from calculation practice for engineers, bringing together the best of two worlds: the FEM software from Ansys and the detailed verification management in Kisssoft.
Fast+More is an Ansys extension that can be installed quickly and easily via the ACT console. It is fully integrated into the Ansys user interface and can therefore be learned quickly. Large models are one of Fast+More's strengths. They often consist of shell elements, but also solid elements, and contain many hundreds of bolted connections that have to be represented and evaluated by beam models.
A wide variety of drill holes are automatically recognized and the connecting elements are generated. After the calculation with Ansys, comprehensive results are available in both graphical and tabular form, which can be exported to Kisssoft for further detailed verification calculations, for example in accordance with VDI 2230 model class II. All objects generated are always Ansys Mechanical standard objects to which the user always has full access. Fast+More can be used not only for bolts, but also for riveted and spot-welded joints.
