The horizontal length measuring systems from Feinmess Suhl are suitable for internal and external measurements on numerous measuring objects. Thanks to the incremental quartz glass scale with extremely low expansion coefficient and compliance with the Abbe comparator principle, they achieve maximum measuring accuracy. The measuring section and measuring system are on one axis. The small length gauge KLM 120, with its improved operating concept, is primarily used for thread measurements and measurements on measuring pins, measuring rings, dial gauges and all types of gauges. The device is also used in calibration laboratories or measuring rooms and for measuring precision parts close to production.

External measurements can be carried out with the length comparator for objects with plane-parallel, spherical or cylindrical measuring surfaces as well as external threads - internal measurements can be carried out accordingly for bores, parallel internal contours or internal threads. The application ranges extend up to a maximum of 160 mm for external measurements and 135 mm for internal measurements; the direct measuring range is 60 mm. The resolution is 0.01 μm, 0.1 μm or 1.0 μm and the repeatability (span) is ≤ 0.20 μm for internal measurement and ≤ 0.1 μm for external measurement. The measuring force can be varied between 0.5 N and 1.0 N, optionally up to 2.5 N can be set with an additional weight. The measurement uncertainty is ±0.15 μm + ^1*10-6 * L for the internal measurement and ±0.08 μm + 1*10- ⁶ * L for the external measurement.

The KLM 120 has a measuring table with 3-axis adjustment and additional tilt and rotation functions and can support loads of up to 3 kg. A floating table enables moment-free positioning of the measurement object. The separate PU41 interface unit with USB connection transfers the measurement data of the X, Y and Z axes to the PC. The intelligent measured value processing with the IQ-Basis software from AHP or QM-Soft offers standard-compliant, ready-made test programs and provides a final test report that can be individually adapted if required. With the extensive range of standard accessories, the majority of all measuring tasks can be carried out immediately. Special accessories such as swivel tables or quick clamping elements as well as thread test kits are also available to extend the range of applications - for simple and economical calibration.
