Quality assurance
Innovation with simple operation
In quality assurance, measurement results must be reproducible and traceable. Keyence illustrates this with its product presentations in the Expo exhibition area at Intec/Z connect 2021.
One of the products presented is the IM-7030T digital measuring projector, which can be used to check up to 99 features on up to 100 components simultaneously. The projector has a measuring range of 300 x 200 mm, a diffuse sensor for concealed edges and a height measuring sensor. According to Keyence, even very light objects can be measured with the light probe without the need for clamping due to the very low probing force. The IM series measuring system can be used close to production, the company reports. The LM optical coordinate measuring system can be used for small parts that need to be measured with maximum precision. It has a high resolution so that even the smallest geometries can be measured at the touch of a button, as well as the option of optical height measurement.
Measurements in 3D
Larger components up to one meter that need to be inspected in three-dimensional space can be measured with the XM digital inspection station. Guided measurement means that even unskilled workers can carry out 3D measurements quickly and easily, according to Keyence . The integrated compact camera provides an overview - and a combination of reality and the virtual world, augmented reality, links actual movements with a virtual photo of the object. According to Keyence, a comparison with CAD data is also possible. The WM series mobile 3D coordinate measuring machine is available for components up to ten meters in length. Thanks to the mobile design, the time-consuming transportation of components is no longer necessary and measurements can be taken where the component is located.
