Linear position sensors

Mobile measuring

Turck is expanding its portfolio of linear position sensors: The robust LTE is particularly suitable for detecting the working paths of hydraulic cylinders in mobile machinery. The magnetostrictive sensor withstands shocks of up to 100 g and vibrations that are commonplace in agricultural or forestry machinery.

The device is also insensitive to external influences, making the LTE suitable even for use in hydraulic cylinders of construction machinery in particularly harsh environments. The user can flexibly set the measuring range depending on the sensor type. The wear-free LTE promises high precision, linearity and repeatability thanks to field-tested magnetostrictive technology. The sensor has an internal resolution of 16 bits and offers three signal ranges for mobile machines in addition to the usual analog output signals from zero to ten volts and four to 20 milliamperes. as
