Detection and filtering in hazardous areas
ULT has added a conductive version to its LAS 260 device series. This means that the system is now also suitable for extraction and filtering tasks when processing materials that are highly flammable or can form an explosive dust-air mixture.
Highly flammable air mixtures pose a particular challenge for collection and filtration. The further development is intended to ensure that no additional ignition source can arise in the filter system. In the new version of the LAS 260, the two filter stages (F9, H14) are earthed. The LAS 260 extraction and filter unit was developed to remove airborne pollutants during material handling processes, such as laser or welding processes. According to the manufacturer, the system can be used flexibly at different workstations. However, it is also suitable for applications in production lines. sw
