Inprive simplifies the implementation of the EU GDPR
The German software manufacturer Contechnet is expanding its product portfolio in the area of data protection. The specialist for IT contingency planning is cooperating with Gerald Spyra, a lawyer specializing in data protection.
The data protection software Inprive for implementing the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) was created by pooling expertise. Contechnet has remained true to its philosophy: Inprive, like all Contechnet solutions, follows a structured approach that guides the user step by step through the implementation of the legal requirements. Legal, technical and organizational requirements can be mapped in a legally compliant and transparent manner with a manageable effort.
Organizations are increasingly relying on networked IT systems. As a result, data protection and IT security are automatically becoming increasingly relevant from a legal perspective. This is reflected, among other things, in new legal requirements such as the EU GDPR. In order to keep track of the complex requirements of the new, Europe-wide data protection regulation, organizations often rely solely on the consulting services of specialized law firms and/or documentation with Word and Excel.
"However, as the legal requirements for those responsible are extremely high and involve a huge amount of documentation, clients need more than just clever, purely legal advice for implementation," says Gerald Spyra, lawyer, external company data protection officer and partner at the medical law firm Ratajczak & Partner Rechtsanwälte. "Furthermore, conventional methods are no longer able to cope with the amount of documentation required. After a long search for a company that offers a suitable solution for these highly complex problems and is a reliable partner for cooperation, I came across Contechnet".
Data protection requires transparency
This cooperation has now resulted in a solution with which the legal, technical and organizational requirements, if implemented accordingly, can be mapped transparently and with little effort. Thanks to their joint expertise, the partners deliver a legal-technical solution with high added value: the automation options offered by Inprive significantly reduce the effort required to implement the legal requirements. The possibility of systematically mapping all relevant data processing, including the associated contracts, SLAs, etc., creates extensive transparency. This makes it possible, for example, to assess the risks relevant to data protection and ultimately whether the specific data processing is lawful.
"Thanks to our cooperation, we are able to offer the customer/client a solution that, as far as I know, is unique on the market in terms of efficiency and effectiveness," says Gerald Spyra. "The cooperation with Mr. Spyra is a great benefit for us," says Georg Reimann, Head of Development at Contechnet. "Thanks to the cooperation, we were able to take relevant legal requirements into account during the development process. This helped us enormously in the development of Inprive. We always had the good feeling that we were on the safe side."
