Accessories for power and hand tools
RS Components, the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc, a global multi-channel distributor, has expanded its product portfolio to include a range of power and hand tool accessories from Lenox that are designed with maintenance in mind.
The expanded range from RS Components is aimed at maintenance technicians working in the production sector or tradespeople specializing in construction, woodworking or installation. The new Lenox range includes cutting accessories for power tools such as cut-off wheels, reciprocating saw blades, hole saws, jigsaw blades and step drills.
Lenox's Metalmax diamond technology has been developed for use in power tools that normally work with bonded abrasives. Metalmax products from Lenox are offered as alternative cut-off wheels that operate at the same speeds and feed forces as bonded abrasive variants. The alternative products are also very durable. They can be used to make 1,000 cuts or even more. They achieve a service life up to 30 times longer than the thin bonded cut-off wheels. In addition, the cutting depth remains the same throughout the entire service life. This leads to better control, reach and precision. The technology can take on different types of metals, including steel, sheet metal, stainless steel, rebar, cast iron, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals.
The second group of Lenox products available from RS are reciprocating saw blades. The scope of delivery includes: Lazer CT carbide-tipped blades, which offer up to 10 times longer life than standard bi-metal blades. Demolition CT blades for cutting nails hidden in wood and Gold Power Arc curved blades, which last up to twice as long as conventional straight reciprocating saw blades, are also available.
Other accessories for electric cutting tools include diamond hole saws. They have a continuous brazing edge and a robust design. This ensures a longer service life, even in applications with high material stress. Bi-metal jigsaw blades for wood and metalworking as well as Vari-Bit step drills are also part of the product range expansion. The patented two-flute design ensures fast and clean cutting of round holes.
Also available are sawing and metalworking fluids including Lenox Protool Lube. This is a synthetic emulsion to extend tool life and a large selection of hand tools such as metal saw blades and bows as well as plastic and metal pipe cutters round off the product range.
The Lenox range of accessories for power and hand cutting tools is now supplied by RS in the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions.
