Interview on INDUSTRIAL production + handling

Mara Hofacker,

Eliminate the pollutants of future processes today

INDUSTRIAL Production asked participants at the INDUSTRIAL production + handling virtual industrial trade fair what the latest developments are and how companies rate virtual trade fairs.

We spoke to Stefan Meißner, Corporate Communications at ULT AG, in an interview.

What are your technological priorities as a company over the next 12 months?

ULT AG has traditionally been involved in a wide variety of research projects that deal with the air and pollutant situation in future technologies, for example in the production of lithium-ion battery cells, in additive manufacturing or in the use of renewable materials. The focus is on areas such as laser technologies, mechanical engineering and electronics manufacturing. ULT already offers a wide range of solutions for extracting and filtering airborne pollutants down to the fine dust range. Staying on the ball and being able to eliminate the pollutants of future processes today has always been ULT AG's credo. A new pioneering extraction system for laser smoke will be presented in the coming weeks.
ULT also offers a range of modular solutions in the field of process air drying using sorption technology. These can be individually configured depending on the application and adapted to the corresponding process.

What advantages do you see in the virtual exchange with customers and users?

A virtual event cannot replace a physical trade fair. Personal contact with customers, partners and interested parties is only possible to a limited extent at a virtual event. And quite obviously - as experience from other digital trade fairs also shows - the willingness of stand visitors to make contact is very low.
For ULT, participating in virtual trade fairs is a statement to show that we are there for customers, dealers and research partners even in these unusual times. The topics of occupational and employee safety, air pollution control in industry, trade and research, as well as process design through dry air continue to play an important role. And we want to show that we offer comprehensive solutions here.

What can visitors to the virtual industrial trade fair expect to see at your stand?

ULT AG presents its portfolio of extraction and filter systems as well as solutions for process air drying. We show approaches on how to effectively and efficiently support production processes and how to rely on economically and ecologically sensible solutions.
The protection of employees, production equipment and products is at the heart of extraction and filter technology. ULT AG provides comprehensive solutions for the removal of a wide range of emissions, for example laser fumes, dusts, vapors, gases, odors, soldering or welding fumes through to oil mist separation and ventilation/extraction of entire production halls - from mobile to stationary, from standard to special customer solutions.
Dry process air is essential for many production processes. ULT's aim is to use the "right" drying technology for the "right" process - and to rely on long-term and economical solutions.
We are happy to advise you - because we see every customer as a partner whom we meet as equals and whose needs are the focus of our activities.
