Load handling attachments for threads
High load-bearing capacity by plugging instead of screwing
Erwin Halder is expanding its range of lifting equipment with the new threaded lifting pins. The load-bearing elements have been specially developed for existing threads. They can be installed just as quickly and easily as the ball bearing pins and carry heavy components reliably and safely.
If users need to attach counterweights, transport components or change clamping elements or workpieces, load lifting devices are used. High load-bearing capacity and maximum safety should be a matter of course, but simple assembly of the lifting aids is also an advantage. This minimizes effort, makes work easier and reduces unwanted downtimes in production. If there is already a threaded hole in the component to be supported, the new threaded lifting pins from Erwin Halder are the solution for quick load changes.
How does it work? At the lower end of the high-strength bolt are self-locking thread segments that are adapted to the respective thread sizes. An aluminum push button is integrated below the movable shackle for unlocking, which the user simply has to press for installation. The bolt is then simply inserted into the existing threaded hole. When the push button is released, the threaded segments engage in the thread of the component to be supported and the support element is secured. To release, simply press the push button again. There is a safety bar on the shackle to prevent the push button from being pressed accidentally and the threaded load-bearing bolt from being released at the wrong moment.
The threaded lifting pins are highly resilient. Depending on the design, a maximum load of up to 840 kg is possible - with fivefold safety. The high break resistance has been certified by TÜV Süd. They are also CE-compliant.
The threaded studs are available in two material variants: one made of manganese-phosphated heat-treated steel and the other made of precipitation-hardened stainless steel (1.4542). Both are protected against corrosion and are temperature-resistant up to 250 °C. The stainless steel ball stud is also weather-resistant and therefore suitable for outdoor use. Erwin Halder KG supplies the support elements from stock in thread sizes M10, M12 and M16.
