Extra wide for the material flow
Habasit has introduced wide timing belts from the Habasync product family. With a width of up to 600 millimetres, they are currently the widest timing belts available on the market and are suitable for a wide range of conveying tasks.
Habasit explains that wide timing belts, which also enable precise timing, are an efficient alternative to synchronized conveyor belts. Even bulky transport goods arrive at the next station with pinpoint accuracy. One field of application, for example, is the production of vehicle tires, where even the widest tire models can now be transported to the tire building process. In this application, they replace several conveyor belts running in parallel. Another example is the glass industry, where wide timing belts are used to transport large sheets of glass. For transport tasks in intralogistics, the shape, length and properties of a conveyor belt are largely determined by the goods to be transported. Habasit offers very flexible assembly of timing belts and therefore flexibility in application.
The T10 and H (0.5 inch pitch) wide timing belts made of thermoplastic polyurethane can also cope with high transport loads thanks to an aramid tension member and can be customized with grooves, perforations, coatings or flights. The thermoplastic polyurethane with a hardness of 88 to 92 Shore A is also a material with outstanding properties in a wide range of areas: It is resistant to oil, grease or chemical agents on the one hand, hydrolysis-resistant on the other and is also available with FDA/EU food approval.
